May is Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month, a celebration of Asians and Pacific Islanders in the United States. This commemorative month has been celebrated since 1992 and highlights the history and culture of Americans of Asian or Pacific Islander descent, which includes all of the Asian continent and the Pacific islands of Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia.
