The Mashpee Public Library is happy to host the AARP Tax-Aide Income Tax Preparation Program. This organization’s mission is to assist low to moderate income taxpayers of all ages file their Federal and State returns. You do not have to be over 50 or a member of AARP to take advantage of this service.
The Tax-Aide Program will begin on Saturday, February 11. You can sign up for a 15 minute appointment between 10AM and 12PM on Saturdays through Saturday, April 8.
Making Appointments: Call the Library at 508-539-1435 or email mpl_mail@clamsnet.org to schedule your appointment. After your appointment has been scheduled, please stop by the Library to pick up an Income Tax Questionnaire to complete and bring to your appointment.
What You Need to Bring to Your Appointment: In addition to your Income Tax Questionnaire, please bring your social security card, a photo ID and a full copy of your State and Federal Returns from last year (2021 returns, filed in 2022). Without these documents, the tax professional will be unable to assist you and we can not guarantee that we will be able to reschedule your appointment. In addition, if you would like your refund to be directly deposited, please bring a voided check.
About Your Appointment: You will be contacted by phone prior to your appointment to confirm your attendance. If you do not confirm, we will be unable to guarantee a tax professional will be available to help you.
