Every July, the Heritage Museums and Gardens in Sandwich celebrates one of the Cape’s most beloved flowers – the hydrangea. Heritage Gardens is famous for their hydrangeas. They are home to the North American Hydrangea Test Garden and the Cape Cod Hydrangea Society’s Display Garden. Overall, they have eight species and over 170 exceptional cultivars.
Come see them all at the 2019 Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival, running from July 12 through the 21st. The festival includes an overview of hydrangea basics, pruning demonstrations, a book signing with Joan Harrison – author of Heavenly Hydrangeas – and much more.
