“Mashpee Nine” Film, Discussion and Book Signing – Feb. 2nd at 2pm

We are excited to join the Mashpee Historical Commission in hosting an engaging group of speakers this year!  Come learn more about the town of Mashpee, both past and present.  Speaker series programs will be held on the first Saturday during the months of February, March, April, May, June, October and November and will be a lead up to the town’s 150th Anniversary in 2020!

Join us for our first event on Saturday, February 2nd at 2pm:

Film, discussion and book signing with author Paula Peters.

Mashpee Nine tells the moving, true story of the 1976 arrest of a group of Wampanoag men and the trial that followed. It is a story of “injustice, outrage, activism and vindication that fostered cultural pride and unity among the Mashpee Wampanoags.”

The program is free and refreshments will be served. All are welcome.
